Northcon is a timber products producing company founded on year 2012.

Northcon Industries is a timber structures production company with a 20-year history. We started back in 2003 as a small sawmill and initially were exporting processed timber boards all over the world, with the main markets being the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the US, and Canada. Our main products at that time were construction timber, wooden stair parts, and window scantlings.

But then came the 2008 Financial Crisis, which hugely slowed our original markets. At that time, one of our timber buyers from France asked if we could try to produce a timber house for him, a very special one – everything must be made out of larch tree – the frame, the windows, the floor, the wooden covering boards, everything. We decided – yes, why not?! Since we had worked with timber for many years, we knew where to source it and how to build it.

So the first house we did was in 2008, and it was built in the most quality-demanding market in Europe – Switzerland. It was two mountain chalets in the Valais canton of Switzerland, and we produced them on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. Because of those two buildings, we received many future orders from France and Switzerland, and that is how our history with houses started.

We have been gradually growing and converted completely to house production in 2010. In 2010, we entered the Norwegian market, in 2015 both the Swedish and Danish markets, in 2017 Iceland and the Faroe Islands, in 2022 the Netherlands, and in 2024 the Lithuanian market. Our production capacity at the moment is approximately 60 houses per year, and we handle the engineering, production, and assembly all over Europe with our own employees as we give a 5-year warranty to every single house we produce.

Everybody in our company is very well aware of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, and French standards (TEK17, Norsk Byggforsk, and AMA-Hus in Sweden), so we make sure that the houses are engineered and produced according to local standards. At the moment, our company employs on average 60 highly skilled professionals in its field – engineers, project managers, and highly skilled carpenters.

Our company owns a production facility with an area of 1500 m² under the roof, and the total area of our property is 10,200 m², where our wonderful wooden houses are being built. We are young, educated, and enthusiastic professionals who speak English and respect environmentally friendly ways of life and culture.
